Dr Vandana Prasad

Dr. Vandana Prasad is the founding Secretary and National Convenor of the Public Health Resource Network. Dr. Prasad has been an ardent social activist and social worker for nearly two decades and has a vast experience in health and development. She has been closely associated with many national health movements like People’s Health Movement-India (Jan Swasthya Abhiyan), Mobile Creches, Right to Food Campaign etc., to name a few.
Dr. Prasad is a community pediatrician with an MRCP from UK. Her special areas of interest are child health and nutrition, specifically in the areas of early childhood care and development with particular focus on training, research and advocacy. She has published many papers and articles in the leading journals and magazines.

Ganapathy Murugan

Dr. Ganapathy Murugan joined Public Health Resource Network (PHRN) in September 2008. He started as Senior Programme Coordinator managing Community Health Fellowship Programme and is now serving in the capacity of Executive Director and Member Secretary since December 2010.
His areas of interest include interlinking health culture and health policy, history of medicine and health sector reforms.  Before joining PHRN, Dr. Ganapathy was a Research Fellow (Public Report on Health) in Council for Social Development, New Delhi.
Dr. Ganapathy holds a doctoral degree in Social Medicine from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and a Master's degree in Social Work from Loyola College (University of Madras) with specialization in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work. He was awarded the UGC Junior Research Fellowship for his doctoral thesis.

Dinesh Chandra Bhatt

Dinesh Chandra Bhatt has been associated with PHRN Delhi office since its inception in 2007. He looks after HR, Finance and Administrative functions of PHRN.  Mr. Bhatt has considerable experience in health and development that spans for over two decades. He has been associated with many reputed NGOs and was involved in setting up three state level organizations in Assam, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
In the area of health and development, and prior to joining PHRN, Mr. Bhatt had worked in CARE India, VHAI and VHA of Assam. Mr. Bhatt basically holds a Master’s degree in Physics and has a multidisciplinary working experience. He has held senior positions in several reputed organizations in India and abroad.

Madhurima
Dr. Madhurima Nundy has been working with Public Health Resource Network (PHRN) since October 2009 as a Senior Programme Coordinator. Madhurima Nundy received her PhD from the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She also completed her M.Phil from the same centre and did her Masters in Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work. Her interest lies in the private sector in health care and its interactions with the State. She has various publications to her name and has worked with the National Commission on Macroeconomics and Health. She has also worked on issues relating to health financing; public-private partnerships in health; the non-profit sector in health and gender and health.
 

Soma Sen has been working with PHRN since October 2011 as Programme Coordinator. She did her masters in Physiology with specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics from Calcutta University. She has worked in the field of health administration, Nutrition, and Public health. She has also worked on issues relating to domestic violence and role of women in the Society. She has worked under several projects with Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), NIPCCD, Nutrition Foundation of India (NFI), and Social Research Institute – IMRB. Before joining PHRN, she had worked as an Administrator and Research Officer and then as a Consultant (Public Report on Health) in Council for Social Development, New Delhi.

Sunandan Kumar

Sunandan Kumar, Accounts and Administrative Head, he is responsible for all accounts and administrative work that includes maintaining accounts, payroll, PF, stock, bank reconciliation, state account reconciliation in Tally Package (tally ERP 9) and other software and updating the SOEs (statement of expenditure), Utilization Certificate and disbursement report for ICCHN, report for head office. Before joining PHRN he has worked as a senior accountant at National Institute of Health and Family Welfare. He has completed his MBA (Finance) from Vinayaka Mission University, Tamil Nadu. He is currently pursuing his CA course.

Ajay Kumar

Ajay Kumar Chawariya has recently (in July, 2010) joined PHRN Delhi office as a Programme Coordinator. Currently is coordinating the ‘Post Graduate Diploma in District Health Management (PGDDHM) Programme’, a collaborative effort of PHRN & IGNOU. Prior to joining PHRN, he has worked as Executive, Programme Monitoring & Development with the Blind Relief Association, Delhi and worked as Sr. Programme Coordinator with Department of Community Services, Venu Eye Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi. Ajay holds a post graduate degree in Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work (DSSW), University of Delhi. He has keen interest in health issues. He has participated in Polio Eradication Programme and also provides counseling to the drug addicts and their families for the drug de-addiction.
