The Fast Track Capacity Building Programme

The Public Health Resource Network’s fast track capacity building programme is focused on capacity building of government personnel working with NRHM for building skills for district level planning and management. The fast track capacity building programme is constructed as three rounds of a six day long training workshop held three to four months apart- which covers a well defined syllabus. The goal in the first 18 months is to build adequate skills in a team of 5 resource persons per district trained and supported by a state team of 5 to 10 persons to facilitate quality district health plans and facility level development plans annually based on analysis of the previous years progress and the current situation.

The fast track programmes are held in collaboration with State governments, the NHSRC (National Health System Resource Center) and state or regional level technical support/ resource agencies. PHRN offers support through training material, appropriate national level resource persons, quality control and follow up to ensure acquisition of skills and information and translation to action at state and district level.
